About Skip:

Hometown: The Woodlands, TX, The Woodlands HS

Skip is a senior on the Florida Swim & Dive team.  He was recruited by Auburn University out of high school where he competed in 2019.  In his freshman year at Auburn, he made the SEC All-Freshman Team after competing in the Finals event on platform.

After battling injuries after his freshman year, he chose to take his sophomore year off in order to focus on his mental health.  When he returned, he was faced with another serious injury, this time in his back, and was forced to take 5 months away from the sport.

He worked diligently to strengthen his back until he was able to compete again.  After months of rehabilitation, he transferred to the University of Florida where he stepped up in place of his injured teammates and earned SEC Diver of the Week two weeks in a row.

This journey at Florida led him to his first NCAA Championships this year.  He is excited to mentor younger athletes because he knows first-hand what it is like to struggle through adversity and wants to help others through the ups and downs of their own journey.  "I certainly did not have this [support] when I needed it most, and I am grateful that I now get to share my experience with others."
